Sitka Coffee: Creating community and changing lives through a shared love of great coffee and the great outdoors.
It all started in a small town in Washington State, surrounded by orchards and situated in the the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. This is where I grew up and where I developed a love of the outdoors, an appreciation for community and a high regard for the farmers of the world. With so many friends and family working as orchardists, I saw firsthand the importance of sustainable farming. I also saw the damage caused by broken systems that robbed hardworking farmers of their living.
This is why we focus on direct trade relationships at Sitka Coffee Roasters. We choose relationship over transaction, paying farmers for the quality of their product and working with them to share techniques and knowledge that will continue to improve their crops.
Purchasing directly from coffee farmers ensures the sustainability of their livelihood while pushing coffee to the next level. We roast our farm-direct beans to peak aroma, highlighting the natural characteristics of each variety and bringing you the best coffee has to offer. No matter where you are, there’s no reason not to have amazing coffee in your cup!
